Local places of interest
The area surrounding Tall Pine Lodge has a wealth of wonderful attractions for you to visit that can either fill your holiday with exciting discoveries and experiences or offer you interesting trips out during a relaxing break from every day life.
Here are a few of the many things for you to do and see beside the Moray Firth :
Walking in the surrounding forests has to be one of the great attractions of the area, where you can soak up the tranquil environment and wonder at the range of wildlife and flora of nearby Culbin Forest.
You can even pop out of the north side of the forest and walk along the Moray Firth shoreline where you may catch sight of Bottlenose Dolphins feeding on an incoming tide.
The area has a wealth of Golf Courses with scenery to rival any other top venue. The micro climate that makes this one of the driest areas in the British Isles makes this an ideal Golfing destination.
Tall Pine Lodge has many historic sites close at hand that include Castles, Forts and ancient Pictish settlements. Add these to Distilleries, Loch Ness, local craft centres and Inverness, the capital of the Highlands, and you’ll be spoilt for choice.
Two great resource sites for all things local to Tall Pine Lodge are the web sites Visit Nairn , Undiscovered Scotland and Greater Speyside. All of these offer a wealth of information for visitors to this wonderful part of Scotland.
A fantastic location; we loved our wildlife filled walks through Culbin Forest (red squirrels, goldcrests and even a badger!) and cozying up by the wood burner in the evenings. A beautifully maintained and tranquil place. June, Callum, Stuart and David Sept 2024
